About Quertweet
A small, independent cookbook of X searches, written for people who use search to get work done.
Quertweet is a library of ready-made searches for X. Each recipe is a query you can fill in, copy and open on x.com, with every operator explained. It's written and maintained by the Quertweet Editors, a small team that uses X search every week for recruiting, sales research and reporting.
Why a cookbook
Most people know X has an advanced search page. Far fewer know what to type into it. A cheat sheet of operators tells you what filter:links does, but not that pairing it with "we're hiring" and a job title finds application links, or that dropping links is what turns a product search into a list of real questions. Recipes start from the goal and work backward to the query, the way a cookbook starts from dinner and not from a list of spices.
How the recipes are made
We write each recipe against a goal someone actually has, run it on X with a few different keywords, and keep it only if the first screen of results is mostly useful. We check operator behavior against X's own help pages where X documents it. Where an operator is only documented by the community, we say so on the card, because X can change those without notice.
Recipes get revised when they stop working. If one of them returns nothing for you, or returns junk, tell us which one and what you typed.
What Quertweet is not
We don't run searches for you, collect results, store your queries on a server or log in to X on your behalf. The Open on X button is a plain link to x.com/search. Your saved recipes and the values you type stay in your own browser.
We also don't list or rank X accounts. Recipes that need an account handle ask you to type one in.
The domain's history
Between roughly 2009 and 2012 this domain hosted a Twitter user directory. Quertweet was relaunched in 2026 under new, independent management and has no connection to earlier owners of the domain or to that directory. None of its pages or listings were carried over.
Quertweet is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp. "X" and "Twitter" are trademarks of X Corp. and appear here only to describe what the searches work with.
