Brand mentions and feedback: X search recipes

What people say about your product when they don't tag you, from feature requests to praise and comparisons.

Chapter notes

Notifications only show posts that tag your account. Many people write your product name without the @, misspell it, or post a screenshot with a one-word caption. These recipes catch those posts.

The pattern is your brand in quotes, minus your own posts with -from: and your handle. url: finds posts linking to your site, which includes people sharing a blog post or a pricing page. If your brand name is a common word, add a second word that only fits your product, such as the category, or the results drown in unrelated chatter.

Keep the feature-request search somewhere your product team can see it. A weekly skim of "please add" and "would love" posts is a cheap and surprisingly honest roadmap input, and replying "we're working on it" to the right post earns more goodwill than any campaign.
