Job posts: X search recipes

Hiring posts, remote roles, freelance gigs and internships, straight from the people doing the hiring.

Chapter notes

A lot of hiring on X never reaches a job board. A founder posts "we're hiring" to their followers, a team lead asks for referrals, an agency needs a contract designer by Friday. Those posts are short, informal and gone from the feed within a day, which is exactly why a saved search beats scrolling.

The recipes below lean on the Latest tab, because a job post is worth the most in its first few hours. Most of them drop replies with -filter:replies so you see the original announcement and not 40 people writing "interested!" underneath it. Swap in the job title people in your field actually use: "frontend engineer" and "front-end developer" return different posts, so run both or join them with OR.

One habit worth keeping: when a post looks good, check the account before you send anything. Open the profile, look at how old it is and whether the company it names links back to it. Real recruiters rarely ask you to move to a messaging app or pay for training.

The recipes

Fresh hiring posts for a role
