Customer complaints: X search recipes

Frustration about a product category, from broken gadgets to slow support, for research or for winning switchers.

Chapter notes

Complaints are the most honest product research on X. People rarely post when something works, but they post in detail when a device dies after the warranty or a support chat goes nowhere. Run these recipes on a product category, not only on one brand, and you get a picture of what the whole market keeps getting wrong.

The searches pair the product type with the words people use when they are annoyed: "stopped working", "never again", "still waiting". lang:en keeps the results in English, based on X's own language detection, which is good but not perfect for short posts. Remove it if you sell in other languages.

If you are reading complaints about a competitor, resist the urge to jump into every thread. Collect the patterns first. A list of the ten most common failures is something your product team can act on, and the people who wrote those posts are often the ones most open to trying something else later.
